Intrapersonal

I think playing Jem in the movie version, or a play of To Kill A Mockingbird would certainly be an interesting and also enriching experience

To Kill A Mockingbird is recognized as a coming-of-age type of novel. Hence, within a short span of a few hours, I will act as Jem, when he is only about ten to the time when he is 13. This is exciting in the sense that i will get to feel everything that he feels and experiences, from his naive and Innocent self at the beginning of the novel, to the confusion he feels when people he has known all his life start acting like the bad guys and threaten Atticus, and finally when he matures and understands that boys and girls should act the way they should, and that maycomb is actually made up of biased people who are prejudiced against the blacks/Negroes even in the face of fact and evidence. Just thinking about it makes me excited:)

Jem is a boy reaching puberty and it is at that stage where all boys shed off their innocence and learn the cold, hard facts of the real world. This, I feel, is an really interesting(but maybe confusing) process to experience if someone was acting it out. The very fact that Jem's ideals and the things he believes in are all destroyed and they are replaced with sorrow, anger and confusion is a rather dramatic process and I would love to act it out.

Also I would make some changes if it really was acting jem out. I feel that Jem's actions after the trial and also death of Tom Robinson was not just because he learnt about the evils he though he never existed in Maycomb. It is because he learned about the evils AND refused to accept it. Hence, when Scout talked to him about the trial, he refused to listen and chased her away. If i was acting it out, I would further dramatise this
